ABOUT

Dana is a dutch Singer&Songwriter born in Winterswijk, a town in the east of Holland. Left enchanted by playing on the guitar for the first time at age eleven, she knew that music would be forever part of her life.

She studied Vocals at the Herman Brood Academy in Utrecht and experimented with different genres of music and people with various musical backgrounds, which contributed to her broad musical interest. After graduating she went to South Germany to spend some time in an Ashram, and reconnected with the simplicity of only her and the guitar, something she lost a bit during her studies.

In the summer of 2015 she decided to pack her guitar to leave for a busking trip through Europe, but didn’t get further than Zuerich (CH).

There she lived for a couple of years and played at various events, stages and livingroom concerts.

During the corona pandamic, Dana has started recording her debute album which is going to be released in the fall of 2022.

Her music takes you on a melancholic flight. Her lyrics are personal and intimate; about the contrasts in life, the beautiful things and the ugly things, the questions and insecurities we have, and how we personally grow by facing everything.

Dana is based in the Netherlands.
